PPH HIRE AND SALES – LAUNCH DAY ON 1ST MARCH
PPH Hire & Sales was formed over 45 years ago and prior to March 2023 was known as Parker Plant Hire, a well-established hire company that has built up an enviable reputation over those years.
Charlie Perry, Chairman of the PPH Group of Companies explained “We felt the time was right to rebrand Parker Plant Hire due to a number of reasons…the first is that no one from the Parker family is involved with the business anymore, and secondly, the company no longer hires large construction plant following our sale of all such equipment last September to allow us to concentrate on providing first class portable accommodation, welfare facilities, tool hire and toilet facilities to all of our customers.
The initials PPH were chosen because we felt it was important to continue with the association to Parker Plant Hire, a company synonymous with great customer service and best quality products.
The new trading entity – PPH Hire & Sales continues with the same dedicated team of staff led by Managing Director Barry Williams.
PPH, trading from its premises in Llanelli and Reading, will continue to invest in new equipment to keep up with the modern day demands of customers. The rebranding brings the company in line with this modern-day world, and puts us in a prominent position within the portable accommodation sector throughout Wales, the Midlands, and the South of England. PPH Hire & Sales – Same dedicated staff, same personal service, now though…with new vision!”
One of the recent changes to the operations is that PPH Hire & Sales offer local delivery for the tool hire side of the business. The Hire Centre staff at Llanelli have over 30 years’ experience and can advise with any equipment needs for building or DIY projects.
Rebrand launch day – 1st March 2023
The launch day of the new name was held on St David’s Day and was a great success.
Customers at the Llanelli depot in Halfway were treated to homemade Welsh cakes amongst the complimentary refreshments. A celebration cake was cut and bright daffodils lit up the busy Hire Centre. Wanting to retain the Company’s reputation for being at the heart of the community there was also a fundraiser for a local foodbank.
Managing Director Barry Williams and Group Chairman Charlie Perry promised to match fund the amount raised on the day, raising the total to £151.66.
Directors and individual Staff had also been donating non-perishable foods in the build-up and were able to present the Foodbank with several full boxes.

Their support means that we are able to focus on helping those in need within our community facing financial crisis, especially as more and more people are falling below the breadline in the current economic environment. It’s great to see a local business so interested in supporting those in poverty within their community – this is exactly what the food & funds raised will go to helping.”
