Charlie Perry
Owner – PPH Group of Companies
Charlie has worked within the portable accommodation sales/hire market for over 30 years. Currently Owner & Director of Rentacabin Ltd, AFL Trucks Ltd, Parker Plant Hire Ltd & Mcleod Cabins Ltd.
PPH Group is also trying to locate any hire businesses for potential acquisition within the forklift hire, plant hire and portable accommodation hire sectors anywhere in the UK.
As well as this, Rentacabin are always looking to purchase used modular buildings, packages of portable accommodation and packages of plant/forklifts anywhere in the UK.
Barry Williams
Managing Director
Barry joined PPH Hire & Sales in 2008 as a Key Accounts Manager and has progressed through the company in various roles. Barry’s experience includes the above and similar role for other contracts within South Wales. He has trained to Chartered Management status Level 4 in Management and Leadership for which he has the appropriate certificates and he has also had the benefit of having attended numerous safety meetings/seminars with our ongoing clients including Morgan Sindall, GAP, Barratts & Local Authorities.
Barry has been involved with major ‘Zero Harm’ initiatives for which we have been successfully accredited.
Barry is a former British Lions, Wales and Barbarians rugby player; he joined the company following his retirement from the sport. Barry’s family background is in the world of civil engineering with particular emphasis on civil engineering and pipeline work.
Keith Miles
Regional Sales Manager – Llanelli & Reading
Keith recently joined the PPH Hire & Sales family in January 2023 with almost 20 years experience within the hire industry. He is an experienced Sales & Business Development professional, with a successful track record in sales and strategic awareness. Keith has excellent communication and presentation skills combined with a strong work ethic.
During his short time with PPH, Keith has shown himself to be an invaluable part of the sales team, providing a meaningful contribution to the Company, always ready to rise to daily challenges.
In his spare time Keith is an avid rugby supporter and is very family orientated.
Alisha Williams
Hire Control Manager
Alisha has been with PPH Hire & Sales since November 2016. She started her career with the company in the role of Administration Assistant and has worked herself up to her current position, Hire Control Manager.
Alisha is responsible for the smooth running of the entire hire process within the company in our bid to become ‘paperless’ and meet our environmental sustainability objectives and is also currently studying an ILM Level 3 Management Diploma alongside work.
Outside of work, Alisha is an exceptionally skilled footballer with Llanelli Town AFC Ladies, she enjoys keeping fit and also goes to a local boxing gym! Her next goal will be to train our boys to achieve peak physical fitness!
Nigel Stephens
Trade Sales Manager/Safety Officer
Nigel is one of PPH Hire & Sales’s longest serving employees. He has been with PPH Hire & Sales since 1989!
Nigel’s role includes, but is not exclusive to, managing the tool hire section of our operations, ensuring compliance, stock control and obtaining best prices for parts and equipment
Nigel has a longstanding qualification as holder of the SMSTS certification and is responsible for the day to day safety management of our main yard in Llanelli.
Jack Duffield
Yard Manager – Reading Depot
Jack started with Mcleod Cabins in October 2011 and, following the sale of the company was transferred to PPH Hire & Sales in 2022.
Jack started in general maintenance and cleaning, working his way up to cabin maintenance. He then progressed to cabin refurbishment, building and fully fitting out new mobile units and anti-vandal units.
Jack is a highly experienced Yard Manager, overseeing the transport requirements, site breakdowns, paperwork and general day to day management of the Reading Depot.
Tracy Underwood
Hire Controller – Reading Depot
Tracy has been with the Company since October 2023 and has established herself as the Hire Controller at our Wallingford Depot. She is a conscientious, personable, and professional person with many years of experience in administration.
Tracy is highly organised and efficient, whose thorough and precise approach has yielded excellent results.
Tracy is passionate and motivated and cares about people by making a difference to the team and the business. She has a proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and when meeting deadlines.
Aimee Wilson
Management Accountant
Aimee joined PPH Hire & Sales in 2018. She is an experienced part qualified Chartered Institute of Management Accountant (CIMA), with over 20 years experience in both public and private sectors.
Aimee is responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance team, analysing and reporting on key financial data to assist with key decision making within the business to ensure growth and profitability, and for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures.
Aimee is very family orientated and enjoys travelling and interior design.
Samantha Smith
Transport Manager & Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator
Sam has been with the company for 20 years, starting as a receptionist and taking on increasing roles as she has progressed.
As the qualified and designated Transport Manager, holding a Certificate of Professional Competence in Transport Management Sam is responsible for the day-to-day running of the all vehicles 7.5t and over and their drivers, ensuring that we remain legally compliant in all aspects of Transport Management.
Sam is also the Company Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator responsible for our continued success with numerous accreditations including ISO9001:2015 Quality Assurance, ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management and Achilles.
Gareth Davies
Credit Control
Gareth joined PPH Hire & Sales at the end of 2023. He has a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting and has experience in working with trade credit account customers. His duties will be monitoring and managing customer accounts to ensure timely payment, as well as identifying and resolving any issues or queries efficiently to manage the cash flow and maintain good customer relationships.
In his spare time, he likes to go on long walks with his dog.
